Seeking The Lost Sheep In The Church:
 Who Don't Know They're Lost

THE TWO WITNESSES

The bible, in Revelation chapter 11, says there are two witnesses.  In
a closer look at what is being said, it appears that it is more than the two
prophets.

 THE TWO WITNESSES (Rev 11:)

I (GOD) WILL GIVE POWER UNTO MY TWO WITNESSES,
THEY SHALL PROPHESY A THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED
        AND THREESCORE DAYS

 I.  INFORMATION
        A.  WHO ARE THEY?
Rev 11:4 These are:       1.  The Two Olive Trees  and
                                                     2.
The Two Candlesticks
        B.  WHAT ARE THEY DOING?

Rev 11:4 These are standing before the god of the earth
(This is Satan, because God is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.)

II. WHO ARE THEY?
        A.  THE TWO OLIVE TREES

Zech 4:3, 11 the two olive trees are by the golden candlestick, one
on the right and one on the left
Zech 4:11-14  The two olive branches are the two anointed ones
that stand by the Lord of the whole earth
                1.  Heb 9:27  It is appointed unto men once to die, and then the
                        judgment
(Two men didn’t die, they were raptured of sorts.)

                         a.  ELIJAH
II K 2:1, 11  Elijah was taken to heaven by a
whirlwind in a chariot of fire
II K 2:12  His companion, Elisha, witnessed it
                                    II K 2:3, 5, 7  Fifty prophets of Beth-el and Jericho
knew of his coming departure and watched
                                            from a distance
Mt 17:11  Elijah will first come and restore
                                            all things
Mt 17:12  Elijah has already come and they knew
                                            him not
(Jesus spoke of John the Baptist)
Lk 4:24-27  The people of Elijah’s day rejected him
Mal 4:5  I will send Elijah before the coming of the
great and dreadful day of the lord
                        b.  ENOCH
Gen 5:24  Enoch walked with God and was raptured
Heb 11:5  By faith Enoch was translated, that he
                                                should not see death
Jude 14  Enoch prophesied of the Lord’s coming
with ten thousands of his saints
Gen 5:23  All the days of Enoch were 365 years
(note:  Could verse 23 elude to the great tribulation?  At
  certain
times in the scripture, the words year and day are  interchanged.  If one
does this here, we have ‘all the years of  Enoch were 365 days’.  This is
of interest since the years to them of that time were 360 days.)
Zech 4:2-3  these stand by seven lamps, by the
                                            golden candlestick

        B.  THE TWO CANDLESTICKS
(see RAPTURE to see that some in the church miss the rapture)
Rev 1:20  The seven golden candlesticks are the seven
                            churches

                1.  FIVE OUT OF SEVEN ARE GOLDEN
                         a.
EPHESUS
Rev 2:2  They labor, are patient, and can not bear
evil and can discern between apostles and liars
Rev 2:3  They bare fruit, are patient, labor for the
name of the lord’s sake, and have not fainted.
                         b.
SMYRNA
Rev 2:9  They are rich in the middle of poverty
                         c.  PERGAMOS

Rev 2:13  They hold fast the lord’s name, and
                                              have not denied his faith
                         d.  PHILIDELPHIA

Rev 3:8  The lord has set before them an open
door that no man can shut
Rev 3:8  They have a little strength, have kept
the word, and have not denied his  name.

                2.  TWO ARE WEAK AND NOT GOLDEN
                        (THEY BECOME GOLDEN)
                         a.  THYATIRA
Rev 2:19  Their last works are more than the first
(note:  Most start out right, but; in time, fall along the wayside like

those in the sower of the seed.  It speaks of the entire church here, but
there are individuals in each of the aforementioned churches, which end
up in this church.)
Rev 2:22  I will cast them that commit adultery
with Jezebel into great tribulation,  except
                                            they repent.
Rev 2:26  He that overcometh and keepeth my
works unto the end, to him   will I give power
                                            over the nations
(note:  God gives his two witnesses power but they must repent
and return to God.)
Rev 2:27  He shall rule them with a rod of iron.
As the vessels of a potter shall they be
broken to shivers:  even as I received of
                                            my Father.
(note:  They who repent in the tribulation rather than before,
  are
broken, even as Christ was, but receive power)
                         b.  SARDIS
Rev 3:1  They have a name that they live, but they
                                        are dead.
Rev 3:4  There are few names that have not defiled
their garments, and they shall walk with Christ
                                        in white.
Rev 7:9, 14  These are they that have come out of
great tribulation and have washed their robes.
(note:  The ‘few names’ are transferred to another church.  The church
that one belongs to is determined by the heart, not the location.)

                3.  THE NON CHURCH

                        a.  LAODICEAN
Rev 3:15  They are neither cold nor hot
(note:  Osama Bin Laden is cold; Billy Graham is hot.  Non-
committed
is lukewarm.)
Rev 3:20  Behold, I stand at the door and knock.
If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I
will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he
                                        with me.
(note:  These are not even in the church.  Jesus is still outside trying

 to get  into their heart.)

        C.  THE BRANCH(ES)
                1.  OLIVE

Zech 3:8  My servant the branch
Zech 4:12-14  The branches of the olive tree are the two
                                    anointed ones
                                (not the anointed one)
Zech 6:12  Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts (Christ)
saying,  “Behold the man whose name is the Branch
and he shall grow up out of his place and he shall build
                                the temple of the lord.”.
Zech 6:13  He (Elijah) shall build the temple of the lord and
he (the lord) shall bear the glory … priest upon his
(the lord’s)  throne and the counsel of peace shall be
                                between them (Elijah and Christ)
                2.  VINE
Jn 15:2-6  The church is the branch and Christ is the vine
Jer 23:5  I will raise unto David a righteous branch AND
                                a king shall reign
Jer 33:15  I will cause the branch of righteousness to
                                grow up unto David.
(note:  Christ is a righteous vine.  There is also a king and a branch.)

III.  WHAT ARE THEY DOING?
        A.  STANDING BEFORE THE GOD OF THE EARTH  Rev 11:4
                1.  The Setting
                          Rev 11:3 Christ is talking
Rev 11:3 Christ says they stand before the god of the earth
Rev 11:5 If any man will hurt them
(This shows them on  the earth while standing before this god)
Rev 11:13 Men who repent give glory to the God of heaven
(In the context of the paragraph, there is a difference in the gods.)
                 2.  The god
II Thes 2:3 That man of sin be revealed, the son of
                                perdition
II Thes 2:4 Who opposes and exalteth himself above all
that is called God or is worshipped, so that he, as god,
sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he
                                is God
Dan 11:36 The king shall do according to his will, and
he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every
god, and shall speak against the God of gods.
Dan 11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers,

              Chaldeans (the whom).
Dan 1:5  The king appointed them a daily portion of the king’s meat (the

king (Jesus) and the king (the horn or god of the earth.)

watched  him go.  The church is caught up.)

        B.  TO TEACH ISRAEL
                1.  THROUGH LOSS OF DOMINION,
                                                               ‘TRUST ONLY THE LORD’

Ezek 24:21  I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of

your soul pitieth; and your sons and daughters whom ye

to him which is escaped, and thou shalt speak, and be no
more dumb: and thou shalt be a sign unto them; and they
shall  know that I am the Lord.
            (note:
Israel’s been given a spirit of slumber, chap. 11, that will be
removed  in this day, and they will understand.)
Ezek 33:28  I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp

                                be finished.
Rev 19:15  Out of the lord’s mouth goes a two edged sword,
that with it he should smite the nations:  and he should
rule them with a rod of iron:  and he treadeth the
winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God

                2.  THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD
                        a.  PROPHESY
Heb 11:40  They, without us, should not be made perfect
Ezek 14:22  A remnant shall be brought forth, both sons
and daughters:  behold  they shall come forth unto
you, and ye shall see their way and their doings:  and
ye shall be comported concerning the evil that I have
brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I
                                    have brought upon it
Ezek 14:23  Ye shall know that I have not done it without
cause, all that I have done.

Is 8:18  Behold, I and the children that the lord hath
given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel
from the lord of hosts, which dwelleth in Mount
                                        Zion
Is 8:20  Seek to the law and to the testimony:  if they
speak not according to this word, there is no light
                                        in them
(note:  The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy, and
Christ
      is speaking.)
Zeph 1:12  In the day of the lord I will search Jerusalem
                                        with candles
(note:  #1 above is prophesy come to pass, as well as being pressured

into trusting their God rather than the world or it’s inhabitants,.:  We depended
on Israel for perfection because that is where we got Jesus. They depend on
us, the church, for perfection because that is the plan of God We are God’s
family and Israel is His people.)

                        b.  JEALOUSY
Deu 32:21  I will move them to jealousy with those which
are not a people;  I will provoke them to anger with
                                    a foolish nation.

                                    word of God
Rom 10:18  Have they not heard?  Yes, their sound went
into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the
                                    world.
Rom 10:19  Did not Israel know?  First Moses saith, I will
provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people,
and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
Rom 10:20  Elijah is very bold, and saith, I was found of
them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto
them that asked not after me.
Rom 10:21  But to Israel he saith, all day long I have
stretched forth  my hands unto a disobedient and
                                    gainsaying People.
Rom 11:;11  I say then, have they stumbled that they
should fall?  God forbid: but rather, through their fall
salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke
                                    them to jealousy.
Rom 11:13  I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am
the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
(note:  Paul is chosen by God to go to the Gentiles;  but, though he will
not disobey God, he has a heart for his own people.  Therefore he speaks so
that they will see also,  through jealousy.  These may be some of the very
 passages  that do just that.)
Rom 11:14  If by any means I may provoke to
emulation them which are my flesh, and might save
                                    some of them.
(note:  Emulation means to excite to rivalry.)
