SATAN/THE BEASTS
God has his way with Satan and shows
it in the bible. Every time he rises
up, he loses a little ground and power as shown in the following
bible verses.
God reduces Satan from heaven as a dragon with crowns on his seven heads,
to
the wilderness as a dragon with no crowns, to the wilderness with crowns
on his earth
physical helpers, to crowns on these ten helpers. The power in
each case is less
than the level before.
SATAN AND THE
BEASTS
I. THE CHANGES
IN POWER
A. THE BEAST OF REVELATION CHAPTER 12 –
SEVEN CROWNED HEADS
Rev 12:3 A great red dragon is in heaven with seven crowned
heads and ten
horns.
Rev 12:4 He stood before the woman with child to devour her
child at his
birth
Mt 2:16 Herod kills all children two years and under
Mt 27:33-50 He is killed when grown up
I Pe 5:8 The churches adversary, the devil, walks about as a
roaring
lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Rev 12:10 He is Israel’s accuser
(note: We cannot be accused; we are covered by the
blood or we are
not,
revealed
by our works. This is not to say, because of our
works.)
Rev 12:5 She brought forth a man child who was to rule all
nations with a rod of
iron.
Is 2:3 The word shall go forth from Jerusalem
Jn 1:1-14 Jesus is the word
Rev 19:13 (19:11-16) Jesus is the word.
Rev 12:5 Her child was caught up unto God and to his throne.
(note: The woman is
Jerusalem. The child is the
church/Christ.)
I Thes 4:17 True Christians are caught up (The Rapture)
Christ ascended up on a cloud (Acts 1:9-11)
Christ is the head (Col 1:18, Eph 5:23)
We are his body (Eph 1:22-23, Col 1:18, Eph
5:23&30)
Rev 2:26-27 We rule with a rod of iron
Rev 12:6 The woman fled into the wilderness
Mt 23:37-38 Oh, Jerusalem … your house is left unto
you desolate.
(note: This point in time goes back to the
child being born. It is not
a progression after the child is caught up. This is
Israel, the heart of
Jerusalem.)
Rev 12:7 There is war in heaven. Michael and his angels fight
with
the dragon (Satan) and his angels.
(The angels are the
third that fall in verse four.)
Rev 12:8 The devil and his angels are kicked out of heaven.
Rev 12:9 The devil is cast into the earth.
This beast is the kingdom of Satan.
It has seven heads which are
probably his top angels. He is ruling the kingdom from heaven. He gets thrown
out of heaven
and the next beast arrives.
B. THE BEAST OF REVELATION CHAPTER 17 –
NO CROWNS
Rev 17:3 John is carried away into the wilderness where he
sees a woman
sitting
on a scarlet colored beast. It is
full of names of blasphemy. It
has seven
heads and ten
horns.
Rev 17:8 This beast was, and is not; and shall ascend out
of the
bottomless pit,
and go into perdition .
This is the beast that is present after Satan is kicked out of heaven.
Notice it is in the wilderness. It is also on earth, because that is
where the
woman is. It has no
power, though. I believe it is
during the time when the
church has all power and authority over the power of
the enemy. He is seeking
whom he may devour, but they are the ones
who
do not have on the full armor
of God. The armor is gained through
knowing the word of God, and applying
it by obedience to it.
C. THE BEAST OF REVELATION 13 –
THE TEN HORNS ARE CROWNED
Rev 17:10 There are seven kings,
five are fallen, one is
(Rome #1), and
the other is
not yet come. When he
comes, he must continue a short space.
Rev 13:1 I saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven
heads and
ten horns,
and upon his horns ten crowns,
and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Rev 17:12 The ten horns are ten kings that have no kingdom
as yet; but
receive power as kings one hour with the beast
Rev 13:2 The dragon gave him his power, his seat, and
great authority.
Rev 17:1 The great whore sits on many waters
Rev 17:15 These waters are peoples, multitudes,
nations, and tongues.
Rev 17:2 She commits whoredom with
the kings of
the earth
Rev 13:3 One of his heads is wounded to death, and his
deadly wound is
healed
(note: The word deadly, here, means a mortal
wound; and death means
to
be dead.)
Rev 17:11 The beast that was and
is not, even he is the eighth,
and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
II Thes 2:3 The day of the lord comes after the son of
perdition is
revealed,
that man of sin.
II Thes 2:7 He is revealed after the rapture.
Rev 17:8 He comes out of the bottomless pit and goes into
perdition.
Rev 9:2 The bottomless pit is opened
Rev 9:3 Demons are released
Rev 9:11 They had a KING over them, the angel of
the bottomless pit,
whose name is Abaddon in
the Hebrew tongue and Apollyon in the
Greek
tongue.
Rev 11:7 The beast that ascendeth out of the
bottomless pit shall make
war
against them,
overcome them, and kill them. (The Witnesses)
Rev 13:7 It was given unto the beast to make war
with the saints and to
overcome them.
Rev 13:11 I beheld another beast coming up out of the
earth. He had two
horns like a lamb and spoke
as a dragon. (note: Satan was cast into the earth.)
This beast is the eighth kingdom of the earth. He is of the
seven because he actually is
he seventh, who was killed and then possessed by Satan. He is the
little
horn that comes
up among the kings of the earth, who are committing
fornication with the great
whore.
This appears to be the European common
market, with it’s Euro dollar.
The little horn makes a peace treaty with Israel
but then recants. I’m not sure whether
the recantation
is before the possession
or not. I believe, though, that it is before.
He goes against the
witnesses and
can’t hurt them, since he is only a man and a man can’t hurt
them. He is killed
in the process by a sword. This sword, I believe is the word of
God. Satan then
comes down with great wrath, possesses the beast, and goes after the witnesses
and saints and succeeds. The whole world is rejoicing because they stood for
the
word of
God. Therefore, the first beast is in heaven with the power. The
second comes along but has no power or authority. He depends upon deceit. The third
comes with
power again.
This would seem to indicate that the middle one is
during the reign of the
true Christians.
Satan had power before Christ came.
This is shown by the fact that his
followers had
power to turn a staff into a
serpent along with Moses. Then he lost his
power until the time of Jacob’s trouble. During this time he will have power again.
He does many signs
and wonders
to fool and deceive the general population of the earth.
