IS THE BIBLE GOD'S WORD?
If one is to stand on
the beliefs of the Christian faith, then it is essential to know that its
foundation,
the Bible, is solid. If it is the word of God, then it is obviously solid;
but how does one know if it is truly
the word of God? Considering the many different translations, if it is the
word of God, are they all the
word of God? First let's deal with the question of whether it is the word
of God, then we'll look at
the different translations.
Lk 24:44 These
are the words which I spake
unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which
were written in the law of Moses, and in
the prophets, and in
the psalms, concerning me.
If you believe in Jesus, then you must believe in the
whole book, the Bible. If not, then
one essentially calls Jesus a liar.
1. There are hundreds of prophecies that have
come to pass and only God knows the future. The
prophecies are specific, not
generalized. They are about Jesus, Israel, the land of Israel, the future
of the world, and even about nations
that would rise and fall. No man has ever predicted the
future without error like the Bible
has; and the men who wrote the Bible gave God the credit for
knowing the future.
2. There are no contradictions in the book, just
misinterpretations; and most of them are due to a lack
of understanding of Israel and the
law. If one understands the law, I speak here of the Torah,
then one can see how the life of
Jesus and His death are in unison. There is perfect harmony in
the Old Testament, the old covenant;
and the New Testament, or covenant. It has been said that
the New Testament is in the Old
Testament concealed and the Old Testament is in the New
Testament revealed.
3. The Bible codes are
another evidence. They are equal distance letter sequences, EDLS. In
the
original Hebrew language of the Bible
one can use this method of choosing letters to find new words.
For instance, one starts with a
letter and then uses every other letter from that starting point, or every
third letter or fourth or fifth, etc.
The result will be new words formed from these new letters that have
some meaning that corresponds with
the paragraph that they were taken from. One can also take these
new letters and do the same thing.
Some have went down several levels and still founds pertinent words.
This is not by chance. Because
there are no vowels in the original Hebrew, some say people using the
codes are making up the words by
applying vowels by choice. This is not evidence against the codes
because one could then say the same
thing about all Hebrew writing. The codes are still in the Hebrew
and words are not found by adding
vowels.

4. When one is serious
about the faith and truly believes every word of the Bible, then there exists a
very real power in those words.
When one understands that they are the words of God, one
knows that what God said is always
truth and cannot be made a lie. When this level is achieved,
one has a relationship with God and
the words become a vehicle to do the will of God. When
they are used to do the will of God
they never return void, but go forth and accomplish the thing
they were sent forth to do.

SUMMARY:
With all the evidence
established, there can be no doubt that the Bible is the word of God. The
real proof, however, is not in the evidence, but in studying
it and putting into practice the things
contained in it. This is how one forms a relationship
with God and the more one meditates on those
precious words, the stronger the relationship. The
evidence to the rebellious, though, can always be
considered circumstantial; no matter how strong the case may
be.
IS EVERY BIBLE GOD'S WORD?
1. Actually, the true word of God is
only in the original manuscripts. They are written in Greek, Hebrew, and
Aramaic. They were written by men who either wrote what God told them to
write or wrote what they knew God wanted them to write. Bibles are either
translations or transliterations. A translation comes from a man writing
what he believes God meant by what He said. A transliteration comes from
writing, in a new language, the same word or text from the original without
interpreting what they think God meant.
2. What about the original manuscripts not
contained in the KJV but are in other bibles?
God knew what he wanted to say, and his truth is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
There is no need to
change it for the present times. Times are changing, but God's word is not.
Because God knew the future, He was able to say what he wanted said allowing for changing times.
Stick with the pure word of truth and you can't go astray.
