GOD'S WARNINGS
Most have little to do with the
bible or bible study and do not realize
that Jesus and the apostles were speaking to the church, not the heathen.
This is a grave mistake. Their eternal destiny rides on their heeding the
warnings of God
through Jesus Christ and his apostles. The following bible
verses contain the
warnings of God to the church, Christ's body, bride. The
parable is an example. God loves you and died for you. These
warnings are
to help assure us that we benefit from His sacrifice. If we obey them, we
will..
WARNINGS TO
BELIEVERS
A. Scripture
Heb 3:17-18 God grieved because
he swore to them, they would not
enter his rest, but they didn't
believe him, and fell in the wilderness
Ezek 3:17-18 warn the wicked
that he shall die in his iniquity or God
says he will hold you
accountable
Ezek 3:20 warn the righteous or
be held accountable
Ezek 18:26 when the righteous
turn from righteousness and commit
iniquity and dies in them, he
shall die
The only
righteous are those who have trusted God for their salvation.
Christ is our righteousness so when
we turn from righteousness, we turn
from him. This can only be done
when our salvation is based on head
knowledge and not heart knowledge.
This the difference between
common salvation Jude 1:3 and eternal
salvation Heb 5:9.
Jn 12:48 he that rejecteth me
and my words is judged by those
words he refused
Mt 7:21 not all who sayeth
Lord, Lord, shall enter heaven
Heb 10:26 if we sin willfully
after we receive the knowledge of the truth
there remains no more
sacrifice for sins
1 Cor 10:12 let him who thinks
he stands take heed lest he fall
Rev 2:5 remember from
where thou art fallen, and repent
1 Jn 1:6-7 if we walk in
darkness, we are not with him
1 Tim 5:6 she who walks
in pleasure is dead while she lives
Titus 1:16 some think they know
God, but don't, and will die
Pr 12:15 the way of a fool is
right in his own eyes
Ezek 32:33 if you sin against
me, I will blot you out of my book
Rom 1:18 the wrath of God
abides upon those who hold the truth in
unrighteousness
Jn 3:19 men love darkness
rather than light and are condemned
Lk 14:33 whoever doesn't
forsake all is not worthy of me
Lk 18:28
Peter said: "Lo we have forsaken all"
Rom 8:13 if ye live after the
flesh ye shall die; but if ye do, by the spirit,
fortify the deeds of the
body, ye shall live
Rom 11:22 behold the goodness
and the severity of God; on them that
fell, severity, but on you,
goodness, if you continue in his goodness;
otherwise thou shalt also be cut off
Eph 5:5 No whoremonger,
unclean person, or covetous man, as a
lifestyle, has any inheritance in the kingdom
Col 3:18-19 many walk as
Christians but are enemies of the cross of
Christ, whose end is
destruction, whose God is their belly and whose
glory is their shame, who mind carnal
things
Jude 1:5 God saved people out
of Egypt but later destroyed them
for unbelief
(Note: It was their attitude, not their lack of
knowledge, that God was real)
Pr 21:16 the man who wanders
away from understanding remains with
the dead
(Note: One may come to the cross with understanding
and
yet remain unsaved
The devil understands the cross.)
Hos 4:6 my people are destroyed
for lack of knowledge
(Note: The only way to gain knowledge is by reading
the Bible)
Mt 15:8-9 they draw close with
their mouth, but their heart is far from
me. In vain they do worship
me, teaching for doctrine the commands
of men
Ja 5:19-20 Brethren, if any of
you do err from the truth and one
convert him, he that converteth
the sinner from the err of his ways
shall save a soul from death
(Note: This speaks of the Brethren, yet they are
saved from death)
I Pe 4:17 Judgment begins in
the house of God
(Note: How can he judge the world for
sin if he allows it in his
own house? He doesn’t.
The wheat and tares grow together.)
II Pe 2:21 it is better not to
know the way of righteousness then to
know and turn away
Rom 2:3 do you think, 0 man,
that judges others that sin, that you
shall escape the judgment of
God when you do the same things?
