THE
INHERITANCE
The cross is the post and
lintel of God's house before taking us out
of Egypt. How many of you are
inside the house eating bread and partaking
of the word of God. How many of
you are more like the prodigal son in the
world, doing your own thing while
expecting God to give you your inheritance
now in this life.
I would think that gaining
one's inheritance through their own death
(as testator) to themselves in new
life (as inheritor) would be the best. It
becomes eternal on the other side.
On this side it would behoove one to
follow Christ, seeking the kingdom, and
the inheritance spoken of because
one then receives all needs freely and
losing no inheritance. As one follows
the law of the spirit (love) and is a
doer, abundance comes. The work of
God is to do for others. Then God pays and
is much more giving than any
worldly boss. This is compounded several ways.
One gives on earth. God
pays back what is invested (sown) and more. One gives
more and God
returns it compounded. As one grows in wealth on earth the giving
has
also compounded upon the eternal inheritance. Aside from all that, the
most important thing of all, others become saved. The prodigal son,
though a
son, was dead while away because the father said, "my son
lives again" upon
his return.
As the body of Christ, we have
part in the inheritance. Each
part is in the house eating bread and doing
their part in that body. Before
that body's death the nonproductive parts or
branches are removed. At
death, the body as a whole receives the inheritance
of God through Christ
the head. Each part receives the rewards of his works
while on earth. This
is how I say we give ourselves an inheritance. I bow
before my lord who
gives me all and the character to have an inheritance. To
him be the glory,
that I think not to highly of myself.
Most believe that they can have
the inheritance without giving up
their life. Contrary to popular belief, one
must give up their life to find life.
If one seeks to save his life, he loses
it. Seducing spirits have convinced
the church that seeking the things of God
is the same as seeking God.
They don't see that they are still seeking to save
their lives. They want
what they have and the things of God too. The Holy
Spirit is here to tell
the church; but without seeking God and his will, the
Spirit of God is
muffled by the church. When one doesn't seek Christ, spirits
of darkness
are heard. Christ is not obligated to those who are not in
obedience to the
word.
