ABOUT ISRAEL

This section of our bible study is about the importance and never ending
relationship they have with God.  God did what he did with Israel for you and me.
He still has their good in his mind.  Jesus was a Jew/Israel.  Every writer of the
bible, the word of God, was a Jew.  For Jesus Christ spoke much about Israel
in the parables but one has to know something about Israel to know it.  The
brothers that one said he would but didn't, and the one who said no but did, is
about Israel and the church.  (see PROPHECY > Destiny of Israel.)

ISRAEL IS A SIGN TO THE WORLD
Deu 28:10  All people of the earth will see that Israel is called by the
name of the lord and fear them
ISRAEL HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED BY THE CHURCH
Jer 32:40  God makes an everlasting covenant to do them good,
                when they fear
ISRAEL HAS SUFFERED SO FOR THEIR IDOLATRY BUT FOR
        THE GENTILES ALSO

Rom 11:11  Through their fall salvation has come unto the gentiles,
for to provoke Israel to  jealousy
THEY CAN'T RETURN BECAUSE THEY ARE BLINDED TILL
THE TIME OF THE  GENTILES IS FULFILLED (THE LAST
ONE IS BROUGHT INTO THE KINGDOM)

Rom 11:7-8  Only the election can see.  The rest are blinded, given
a spirit of slumber, that they cannot see.
HOW ARE THEY BLINDED?  THE SEALS!!!!

I.  DEFINITION OF SEAL
OLD TESTAMENT :  To close up
NEW TESTAMENT :  Signet as fencing in or to protect from
                             misappropriation
By implication – The stamp for privacy or genuineness

II.  ISRAEL’S BLINDNESS
Is 29:10  The lord gave them a spirit of slumber and has closed
                    their eyes
Is 29:11  The vision of all is become unto Israel as the words of
a book that is sealed and the learned men cannot read because
                    it is sealed
(note:  Daniel had to hear from an angel to understand what
Jeremiah wrote.)

Is 29:12  The unlearned cannot read because they are unlearned
Is 48:6  The lord showed them things but they did not know
Is 48:8  Israel is deaf because they would deal treacherously,
and were called a transgressor from the womb
Is 8:16  The law is sealed (closed up) among the disciples

(of Christ)
Is 8:18  I (Christ) and the children given me (the church) are
for signs and wonders in Israel

III.  BOOKS
                A.  SEALED
                        JEREMIAH
Dan 9:2  Daniel understood by books of Jeremiah that
seventy years were determined in the desolations
                                    of Jerusalem
(note:  Daniel had to be shown by an angel that the seventy years
            were to
be upon his people also.)
                         DANIEL
Dan 12:4  Thou Daniel, shut up the words and seal
the book even to the time of the end. Knowledge
                                    shall be increased.
(God’s people perish for lack of knowledge.)
Dan 12:9  Go thy way Daniel:  for the words are
closed up and sealed till the time of the end
(God revealed the empires of the world to come; from
Babylon  to the
end of  time, the  time of the end.  Prophecy is seen in hindsight  but even
then, only by the spirit.)

                B.  NON-SEALED
                         REVELATION
Rev 22:10  Seal not the prophesy of the sayings of
                                    this book.
(note:  This verse seems to indicate that only prophesy is sealed.
  I believe
this  is so the church can understand and reveal it to Israel, as a witness.)

IV.  VISION OF ISRAEL RESTORED
           A.  SEALS OPENED
Mk 13:32  Of that day and hour knoweth no man, not the angels
which are in heaven, neither the son, but the father.
(This verse is speaking of the end time.  I believe that the father starts the
process when he gives the book with the seals to the Lord Jesus Christ.)
Rev 5:1  The father is sitting on the throne and holding a book
with seven seals in his right hand.
Rev 5:2-5  No one is found able or worthy to open the book
or the seals, or to read or even look thereon.  It is written
                        on the outside also.
Rev 5:5-7  Only the lamb of God, the lion of the tribe of Judah,
the Christ himself is found worthy and able to open the
                           seven seals.
            (note:  I believe that
Israel’s land and redemption is in the book ,
but their understanding is in the opening of the seals.  The seals seem to
bring the four sore judgments of God spoken, Of in Ezek chap. 14.  Since
prophesy is a revelation  of God when it is finished and seen, this is probably
where Israel gains understanding. With so much at stake, only the Christ
could be trusted.  He has proven  he will not fail the father.  Remember,
no man was found worthy or ABLE to open the seals or read the book.)

Rev 6:1  I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals
               B.  EYES OPENED
                         1.  WHEN
Is 35:5  Their eyes will be opened when the lord
                                        comes with vengeance
Is 29:17-18  In the day that Lebanon is fruitful,
the deaf shall  hear the words of the book
and the blind shall see out of obscurity
(The words of  the book have been obscured from
 Israel),
                                         and out of darkness
                     (those not blinded by slumber).
                         2.  HOW

                                    a.  WITNESSES DECLARE
Is 43:5-7  All called by God’s name
                                                    (the church)

are gathered from the north, south,
                                                    east, and west
Is 43:8  The blind with eyes and the deaf
                                                    with ears are gathered also
Is 43:9  All nations are gathered and
assembled – who can declare former
                                                    things?  Bring forth the witnesses
Is 46:9-10  God declares the latter things
                                                    not yet come to pass
Is 43:10  Ye are my witnesses.  Those
                                                    called by my name.
( Is 48:1  the house of Jacob is called by the name of Israel
and  swears by the name of the Lord.  James 2:7 says the church  is
called by his name.  see THE TWO WITNESSES)

b.  THE SOURCE
                                                1.  WHERE
Is 34:16  Seek ye out of the book of
the lord and read, none of these
                                                            shall fail.
(Note:  The book is the book of Jeremiah.  This will be shown a little later.)
Is 29:11  The vision of Israel is as
the words of a sealed book.
                                                        Is 48:8  Israel is deaf
                                                        Is 29:17  The deaf hear
                                                           (They hear before they see.)
Ps 40:7  Then said I, Lo I come:  in
the volume of the book it is written.

(This psalm is about the church, not the lord, because verse 12
            speaks of his  iniquities.)

Ps 40:8  I delight to do thy will oh my
God, thy law is within my heart

(The law is sealed in his disciples)
Ps 40:5  Many are thy works which
                                                             thou has done.
If I would declare them, they
                                                            could not be numbered.
Ps 40:9  I have preached righteousness
                                                             in the great congregation
                                                2.  WHAT BOOK
Jer 1:4-5  God ordained Jeremiah a
prophet to the nations before his birth
Jer 1:9  The lord puts his words in
                                                            Jeremiah’s  mouth
                                  c.  THE DECLARATION  (THE BOOK OF
                                         JEREMIAH)
Jer 25:4  The lord has sent unto you all his
                                                    servants the prophets
(note:  He hadn’t sent all of them at this time.  Therefore
                             the
time of this prophesy is in the time of the end.)
Jer 25:10  God will take from them the voice
of mirth, gladness, the bridegroom (Christ),
the bride (the church), the sound of the
millstones, and the light of the candle.
(note:  I believe that this is even the order of the loss, and

the candle is one of the witnesses [Rev 11:4].  The voice of
mirth and gladness are taken when they are scattered, which
happens when they reject their Messiah.  They have only went into
captivity until then.  At the cross they also loose the voice of the bridegroom,
but Jesus has already told them they are left desolate and have lost the
kingdom [Mt 23:38, Mt 21:43].  The voice of the church, the body of Christ,
is now present; but it is now the time of the Gentiles.  The voice of
the bride is taken at the rapture. see Rapture.  The light of the candle
is taken during the Tribulation but one of the witnesses, the olive branch,
                            is still present.)
.
Jer 25:13  I will bring upon that land all my
words which I have pronounced against it,
even all that is written in this book, which
                                                    Jeremiah hath  prophesied against all
                                                    nations.
(note:  The seals of Revelation are a part of what was
                              spoken against the nations.)
Jer 30:2-3  Write thee all the words that  I have
spoken  unto thee in a book.  For, lo, the days
come, saith the Lord, that I will bring again
the captivity of my people Israel and Judah,
saith the Lord:  and I will cause them to return
to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they
                                                   shall possess it.
(This could also be speaking of the end times.)
Jer 51:64  Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.
(note:  Because there is more to Jeremiah’s writing, I  believe
that this refers to the end of what Isaiah was  referring to in   Is 34:16 as the book of the lord.  This is strengthened by the fact that God had just destroyed Babylon in the very same verse.)
                C.  WHAT IS SEEN
Rev 6:1-8  The four seals are opened and the prophesies of the
four sore judgments are shown by the witnesses
(note:  The two witnesses are still present to show
Israel and the world
that  this was spoken by the prophets, the servants of God.)

Ezek 14:22  Sons and daughters are brought forth and Israel sees
                                 their ways
Ezek 14:23  Israel sees why God did what he did
(note:  Why would God have the seal judgments and the trumpet
judgments?  The vials are the wrath so that separation is understood.  I
believe that the seals are to open the eyes of Israel by revealing what God
said he would do, he did.  When the seventh seal is open, there is silence in
heaven and then start the serious judgments of the trumpets.  There are
also the ones in heaven that had to go through the great tribulation to wash
their robes.  God doesn’t give dirty robes.  These are the candles, the
church Rev 1:20, that were explained in the parable of the ten virgins.  Five
didn’t make it when the groom came because they had to go and buy some
oil.  The oil is free to any who are watching.

      V.  RESULT OF THE RESTORED VISION

            A.  ISRAEL IS REDEEMED
Rev 7:2-3  The twelve thousand from each of the twelve
                                tribes are sealed
Rev 9:4  The seal keeps them from harm
Dan 12:1  All Israel written in the book are delivered
             B.  ONE OF THE WITNESSES IS FINISHED
Rev 7:9  An uncountable number of souls are before the
                            thrown
Rev 7:14  These had to go through the great tribulation to
                            wash their robes
Mt 25:1-13  There are ten virgins who know the groom,
but five of them miss his coming and have to buy oil.
(note:  They pay with their lives.)

Rev 3:4  Only a few in Sardis have not defiled their garments

            C.  SOME OF ISRAEL ARE SLAIN FOR THE WORD
Rev 6:9-11  Souls under the alter, in heaven, cry for
                            vengeance and receive white robes
Rev 6:11  They are told to wait until their brethren are slain
                            as they were
Rev 11:7  They are killed by the beast that ascends out of
                                the bottomless pit
(note:  Now comes the wrath of the Lamb, which is not the wrath of God.
This is the day of lord’s vengeance.  Some can still be saved from eternal
damnation.  Tribulation comes before vengeance, and vengeance before

GOD USED THEM TO MAKE THE NAME OF JESUS,
  THE WORD OF GOD

Where Is It's Origination
Jn 14:24 The word ye hear is not mine but the Father's
Phil 2:9 God gave him a name which is above every name
II Sam 7:23 What nation is like thy people, Israel, whom God
went to  redeem to himself and to make himself a name
(Note: God created it, but it was the writers that made it.
Even the New Testament was written by Jews.)

Rev 19:12 He had a name written that no man knew but
                    he himself
(Note: Knew is a Greek word that was only used for past tense, so John
was speaking of his past.  It wasn’t finished yet. John was still writing.)

Rev 19:l3 His name is called the word of God.
